News release: Colorado - Denver/BoulderJanuary 27, 2004 For more information, call: Kaiser Permanente partners with Clinica Campesina Denver, CO – Kaiser Permanente is extending its reach as a community partner, providing financial support to Clinica Campesina so that the clinic can better serve those who depend on it for health care. The north Metro health clinic helps more than 20,000 people every year who struggle to afford health care in southeast Boulder County including Lafayette and Louisville, Broomfield, and western Adams County. Kaiser Permanente presented Clinica Campesina board members with $25,000 in grant money that will strengthen the clinic's ability to provide that care. As a nonprofit health plan, Kaiser Permanente gives back to our community by supporting programs and organizations that serve as safety nets, providing access to health care to those who otherwise would go without it. The new partnership with Clinica Campesina provides Kaiser Permanente the opportunity to learn about the clinic, which successfully provides comprehensive preventive health services to those who traditionally cannot afford health care. It will be strengthened in the coming years as Kaiser Permanente opens our Rock Creek Medical Offices, a new medical specialty facility, in January 2005. Kaiser Permanente is a nonprofit health plan and the largest private health care provider in Colorado. It is rated among the top ten accredited health care organizations in the country for clinical quality by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Kaiser Permanente cares for more than 408,000 members in the Denver/Boulder and Colorado Springs areas. In the Denver/Boulder area, care is provided by a coordinated team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, mental health counselors, and physical therapists. In Colorado Springs, Kaiser Permanente cares for its members through an affiliated network of community-based physicians and other health care providers.
