Seven Kaiser Permanente physicians rated among Denver's top docs

Denver, CO – Kaiser Permanente is proud to acknowledge the work of seven of its physicians in the Colorado Permanente Medical Group. Their care has been rated as some of the best care available in Denver according to Denver's Top Doctors survey in 5280 magazine.

The magazine randomly selected 4,000 physicians from the state's board of medical examiners' list of more than 6,000 metro area doctors. This select group was asked to recommend other metro area doctors whom they would trust with their own health or the health of a loved one. The 2003 Top Doctors survey includes the following seven physicians in the Colorado Permanente Medical Group.

Chris Lang, MD, cardiologist
Nora Morgenstern, MD, geriatrician
William Bentley, MD, neurologist
Sally Berga, MD, Ob/Gyn
Allan Graham, MD, addiction medicine physician
William Warmath, neurosurgeon
Royal Gerow, plastic surgeon

"The recognition of these seven physicians represents the scope of care Permanente medicine offers. The range of care acknowledged by the survey shows Kaiser Permanente patients in both primary care and specialty care receive the best Denver has to offer. While we salute the ratings of these seven, we believe they represent the kind of care provided by all 700 Permanente physicians here in Colorado," said executive medical director John H. Cochran.

Kaiser Permanente salutes 5280 for providing the doctor survey for the past ten years. As the health care industry faces increasing challenges, it's important for people to have a variety of information at their disposal from which to chose a doctor. It's information that will make them better consumers of the health care provided in Denver.

Kaiser Permanente is a nonprofit health plan and the largest private health care provider in Colorado. It is rated among the top ten accredited health care organizations in the country for clinical quality by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Kaiser Permanente cares for more than 408,000 members in the Denver/Boulder and Colorado Springs areas. In the Denver/Boulder area, care is provided by a coordinated team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, mental health counselors and physical therapists. In Colorado Springs, Kaiser Permanente cares for its members through an affiliated network of community-based physicians and other health care providers.
